Air Quality Alert
Statement as of 11:12 AM PDT on August 31, 2015

... Air quality alert has been allowed to expire...

Breezy southwest winds over the weekend has improved the air
quality across the region. The cooler and wetter weather pattern
is also resulting in less fire activity and smoke dispersion with
ongoing wildfires. Weather models indicate the cooler and occasional
breezy pattern to persist through much of the week which will
continue to keep good air quality for most locations.

The exception will be for locations which are in close proximity
to ongoing fires. These locations will likely experience poor air
quality... especially during the overnight and morning hours. Each
afternoon, some improvement is expected as temperatures warm and
winds mix out the morning inversions.
