Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 3:30 AM MST on March 02, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to
5 PM MST Tuesday...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for moderate snow... and blowing snow... which is
in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 5 PM MST Tuesday.

* Timing... snow will be light during the evening... then intensify
after 11 PM and continue that way until around 8 am Tuesday
morning. Light snow will continue after 8 am until the
afternoon.

* Main impact... 1 to 3 inches of snow... along with some drifting
snow... will make travel difficult... mainly tonight and Tuesday
morning.

* Locations include... the Snake River Plain... mainly in the areas
along the Interstate 15 and Interstate 86 corridors... including
Rexburg... Idaho Falls... Shelley... Blackfoot... Pocatello
Chubbuck... and American Falls.

* Other impacts... blowing snow can reduce visibility suddenly as
an additional hazard to travel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to strong winds blowing snow
around. Use caution when traveling... especially in open areas.
