	Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 2:59 PM MDT on October 10, 2008 ... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 6 am Saturday to 12 PM MDT Sunday... The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from 6 am Saturday to 12 PM MDT Sunday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. A strong storm system will move north from southern Nevada on Saturday. Expect heavy snow to move into the region early Saturday morning and continue through Sunday morning. Snow amounts are expected to be in the 6 to 12 inch range with gusty winds over mountains passes causing blowing and drifting snow with reduced visibilities. A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
