A record low temperature of 0 degrees was set at Boise ID yesterday. This ties the old record of 0 set in 1972. This is the coldest temperature the Boise Airport has seen since Dec 22 1998. A record low temperature of -3 degrees was set at Rome or yesterday. This breaks the old record of 0 set in 1972.

12/07/2009 0842 PM Twin Falls, Twin Falls County. Snow e1.0 inch, reported by law enforcement. About an inch of snow on the ground. 12/07/2009 0916 PM Twin Falls, Twin Falls County. Snow m2.0 inch, reported by broadcast media. Kmvt-TV reported a snow total of 2 inches starting Sunday.

	Public Information Statement
Statement as of 10:28 am MST on December 8, 2009 ... Public information statement... The cold airmass currently in place coupled with clear skies and a fresh snowpack contributed to the temperature dropping to -6 degrees at the Boise Airport this morning. This is the first time the temperature has dropped below zero since December 21st 1998 when the low was -2 degrees. It is only the second time the temperature has dropped below zero at the Boise Airport since 1991 and the coldest temperature on record since January 5th 1991 when the temperature dropped to -12 degrees. The low of -6 degrees this morning is well above the record for the day of -19 set in 1972.
