Winter Storm Warning
Statement as of 3:40 AM MST on December 27, 2014

...Winter Storm Warning in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM MST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Winter Storm Warning for moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow which is in effect from 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM MST Sunday. The Winter Weather Advisory is no longer in effect.

* Timing...this evening through Sunday evening.

* Snowfall...5 to 10 inches with locally higher amounts in the mountains. The valleys will see up to 5 inches.

* Impacts...snow and gusty winds will create hazardous conditions at times especially over passes and through higher elevation areas. Previous snowfall...and in some cases heavy...from the Christmas storm will likely increase the likelihood of blowing and drifting snow and low visibility.

* Locations include...Lava Hot Springs... Soda Springs...McCammon...Fish Creek Summit... Swan Valley... Grays Lake NWR...Montpelier...Georgetown...Paris...Georgetown Summit.
