Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 2:18 PM MDT on August 28, 2015

... Red flag warning in effect from noon to 10 PM MDT Saturday for
gusty winds and low humidity for southeast Idaho fire weather
zones 410 and 413 below 5000 feet...

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from noon to 10 PM MDT Saturday.

* Affected area... fire weather zone 410 and fire weather zone
413 below 5000 feet.

* Wind... south to southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45
mph at mid and upper slopes. 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35
mph at lower elevations.

* Humidity... 15 to 25 percent.

* Thunderstorms... isolated thunderstorms are possible with gusts
over 45 mph.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. Fires may experience
rapid rates of growth. Please advise the appropriate officials or
fire crews in the field of the red flag warning for portions of
southeast Idaho.
