... Strong winds possible behind departing storms...
A line of showers and thunderstorms will continue moving through eastern Iowa
through this afternoon. Wind gusts to 50 mph are possible behind the showers
and thunderstorms as they exit the area. These winds could occur well after
the heaviest rain has ended. Wind gusts to near 50 mph have already been
reported near Van Horne Iowa... in Benton County.
Locations from Independence and Manchester... south to Iowa City and
Williamsburg could be effected by these winds.
Strong gusty winds will make driving difficult... especially for high
profile vehicles.
