Strong thunderstorms are entering northwest Iowa and will be affecting areas west of i35 through 9 am CDT. Showers and scattered thunderstorms will continue to move across the region early this morning. Expect wind gusts to 50 mph or greater along with rainfall amounts of one half to one inch possible in the stronger storms. Small hail is also possible with these storms.

Scattered strong thunderstorms will continue through 10 am across parts of the advisory area. However... Blackhawk County law enforcement reports minor flooding problems during the early morning hours have ended. Some locations could receive an additional quarter to half inch of rain... which could produce minor ponding water on streets and roads... but no significant flooding is expected.
