Black Hawk County in northeast Iowa Bremer County in northeast Iowa Butler County in north central Iowa Grundy County in central Iowa Hardin County in central Iowa southern Franklin County in north central Iowa * until 830 am CDT * at 546 am CDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rainfall fell across the advisory area earlier this morning with two to three inches of rain in many areas. * Although additional heavy rains are not anticipated through 800 am... runoff from this excessive rainfall may cause minor flooding to occur... especially along small streams and near low water crossings. Although the urban flooding will likely recede soon... broadcast media in Waterloo reported flooded basements due to the heavy rain and lack of power in many areas. At 554 am... mid American energy reported nearly 8200 customers without power in Black Hawk County. Precautionary/preparedness actions...
