Light to moderate snow should continue to fall southeast of a line from around David City to Fremont and Harlan Iowa this evening. Roads will get slick as slush and snow accumulate. Remember...bridges and overpasses normally get icy first. Use a reduced speed and allow extra travel time. Snow amounts along a line from Lincoln to Omaha should be around 2 inches or less through late evening...but may be as high as 5 inches toward Falls City by the time the snow ends after midnight.

The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 6 am CDT Saturday.
* Timing... band of light to moderate snow generally along the Interstate 80 corridor will continue through the rest of this evening... then quickly taper off around daybreak Saturday morning.
* Snow accumulations... generally expect additional snowfall amounts around 3 to 5 inches.
* Winds... stiff northwest winds gusting 20 to 30 mph are expected through tonight.
* Impacts... the gusty winds and blowing snow will likely reduce visibilities to a mile or less... particularly over open areas.
