Special Statement
Statement as of 1:39 PM CDT on March 31, 2015

... Very high fire danger this afternoon...

Dry vegetation... relative humidity values as low as 20 to 25
percent... and northwest winds gusting up to 25 mph... will
result in very high fire danger this afternoon and an
increased threat of rapidly spreading field and grass fires.
Any outdoor burning is strongly discouraged due to the elevated
risk of rapidly spreading wild fires.

The fire danger will decrease late this afternoon and evening as
winds diminish and relative humidity increases.

* Relative humidity... as low as 25 to 30 percent.

* Temperatures... highs in the mid to upper 70s.

difficult to control in these dangerous conditions. Outdoor
burning is highly discouraged and should be avoided.
