Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 2:55 PM CST on November 15, 2009
... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 3 am Monday to 6 am CST
Tuesday...
The National Weather Service in Omaha/valley has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow which is in effect from 3 am Monday to
6 am CST Tuesday.
Rain will likely mix with and then change to snow over the area
late tonight. The snow could be occasionally heavy Monday morning
during the work and school commute... and visibilities and
Road conditions will be poor at times. Even though temperatures
near freezing and a moderately warm ground could limit total
accumulations somewhat... total snowfall of 3 to 5 inches is
likely before the snow decreases late Monday night.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving. Allow extra travel time to reach your destination on
Monday.
