* Timing... the storm system will produce several waves of precipitation. A wintry mix of freezing drizzle... sleet... snow... and rain will be possible through Wednesday. Some areas in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa may warm above freezing for a while Wednesday... especially south and southeast of Omaha. The wintry mix will continue Wednesday night... changing more toward sleet and snow Wednesday night and Thursday. Snow is expected to continue into Friday.
* Snow accumulations... snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches may occur from this storm.
* Ice accumulations... ice accumulations are possible tonight... Wednesday and Wednesday night. The most significant ice accumulations look to be south of Seward to Tekamah to Harlan Iowa where more than a tenth to a quarter of an inch or more of ice is possible.
* Winds... the wind will be increasing Thursday into Thursday night and continuing through Friday. Some blowing and drifting snow is possible during that time.
* Impacts... significant impacts to travel are expected with this storm system. Due to the combination of the strong winds and some ice accumulations... power outages will also be possible from the storm.
