Severe Thunderstorm Watch 743 in effect until 6 am CDT early this morning... Periodic thunderstorms will continue to affect much of western Iowa through at least 400 am. Several of the storms will contain locally heavy rains producing an inch or more per hour resulting in very low visibilities...ponding water on roads...and rapid rises in small streams and creeks. Some of the storms may also become severe with up to nickel sized hail and wind gusts to 60 mph. Frequent lightning will accompany some storms as well.
