Statement as of 9:07 PM CDT on March 19, 2010 ... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect from 1 am Saturday to midnight CDT Saturday night... The Winter Weather Advisory is now in effect from 1 am Saturday to midnight CDT Saturday night. * A mix of rain and snow will spread over the area late this evening. The mixed precipitation should change to all snow within a short time after the precipitation begins... with snow expected to persist through Saturday morning. * Snowfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected by noon Saturday. * Most of the snow accumulations will be on grassy areas due to the warm ground temperatures. However heavier bursts of snow late tonight and early Saturday morning will accumulate fast enough to cause roads... especially bridges and overpasses... to become snow covered and slippery. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slick... snow covered roads and limited visibilities... and be careful while driving.

	Flood Warning
Statement as of 9:45 PM CDT on March 19, 2010 ... Flood Warning now in effect until Wednesday... The Flood Warning continues for the Wapsipinicon River near De Witt. * Until Wednesday. * At 9:00 PM Friday the stage was 12.7 feet... and steady. * Flood stage is 11 feet. * Major flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue. * Forecast... rise to 12.8 feet Saturday evening. Fall below flood stage Wednesday. * Impact... at 12 feet... water affects old U.S. Highway 61 near the river and affects an establishment near the old U.S. Highway 61 bridge.
