Winter Storm Watch
Statement as of 9:06 PM CST on November 25, 2015

... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from Thursday evening
through late Thursday night...

* timing... rain will change to freezing rain by early Thursday
evening... before changing to light freezing drizzle or light
snow Thursday night.

* Storm total snow/ice accumulations... ice accumulations of one
to two tenths of an inch are possible. A dusting of snow is

* Winds/visibility... north winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph
Thursday night.

* Impacts... untreated surfaces are expected to become icy with
travel impacted Thursday night. Another impact may be from ice
accumulating on trees and wires. With winds increasing during
the night there will be a possibility of tree damage and
isolated power outages.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow... sleet... or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts. Additional headlines
for winter weather may be added later today or tonight over
central Iowa where freezing rain is anticipated and travel
impacted... but amounts are expected to be lighter.
