River... to the Cedar Falls-Waterloo city limits.
* Until early Sunday morning.
* At 8:45 am Saturday the stage was 88.6 feet... or 0.6 feet above
flood stage.
* Flood stage is 88.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... go below flood stage early Sunday morning.
* Impact... at 88.5 feet... water covers the bike path at George wyth
park.

... Heavy rain was falling over parts of eastern Iowa...

Showers and thunderstorms will continue to move east across
eastern Iowa from near Waterloo south to Ottumwa through noon.
Most of the shower and storms should move east of this area by
early this afternoon. However... lingering showers will persist
into the afternoon.

The showers and thunderstorms will continue to be very efficient
rainfall producers with morning rainfall totals reaching 2 inches
from around around Waterloo south to the Ottumwa area. The heavy
rain will likely cause minor stream and urban flooding.

A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for parts of
Jasper... Marshall and story counties where heavier rainfall
occurred earlier this morning.
