Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 12:45 PM HST on March 04, 2015

... The Flood Advisory remains in effect until 245 PM HST for the
island of Molokai in Maui County...

At 1230 PM HST... radar showed moderate to heavy rainfall continuing
over central and eastern Molokai. The highest rain rates... about 1
to 2 inches per hour... were over the south-facing slopes near
Kamalo and over Highway 450.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Stay away from streams... drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding... reduced visibility and poor braking action.

Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.
Turn around... Don/T drown.

A Flash Flood Watch is also in effect for Maui County through 6 am
HST Thursday.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 245 PM HST if heavy rain
persists.
