Tomorrow is forecast to be nearly the same temperature as today.
Nowcast as of 3:36 PM HST on November 12, 2009
Now
Widespread showers and thunderstorm are in progress across The Big Island...Maui County...and adjacent coastal waters moving northwest around 10 to 15 mph. Radar is estimating rain rates of 3 to 4 inches per hour...perhaps higher at times in the strongest thunderstorms. Some storms may also produce dangerous cloud to ground lightning. Additionally...the heaviest downpours will lead to ponding on roadways and in poor drainage areas...along with reduced visibilities which will make driving difficult. The heavy rains and thunderstorms will continue to move towards the northwest into the evening and nighttime hours reaching Oahu just after sunset.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Prepare now for the possibility of very heavy rainfall that could cause flash flooding.
Campers and hikers should pay particular attention to later forecasts. Stay away from creeks... streams... and other flood prone areas. Remember that it does not have to be raining where you are for flash flooding to occur.
