Statement as of 3:48 PM GMT on March 30, 2015

... High surf advisory in effect until 6 am chst Wednesday along
east and south facing reefs...

The National Weather Service in tiyan has issued a high surf
advisory... which is in effect until 6 am chst Wednesday.

* Waves and surf... surf on east facing reefs will build to between
9 and 12 feet this evening. Surf on south facing reefs will
build to between 7 and 9 feet this evening.

* Timing... surf will remain near these heights through at least
early Wednesday morning... then diminish below hazardous levels
sometime Wednesday.

* Impacts... the surf will create a high risk of rip currents along
east and south facing reefs of the marianas. There may also be
some localized beach erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that hazardous surf of at least 9 feet
will affect exposed reefs and beaches. Stay away from exposed
reefs and beaches... especially those along east and south facing
reefs.
