Radar continues to indicate rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches per hour over portions of southern and eastern Chatham County. The heaviest rain over the next hour is expected to occur from White Bluff to Skidaway Island. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Statement as of 11:04 am EDT on July 10, 2009 ... Radio weekly test postponed for today... The National Weather Service in Charleston South Carolina is postponing the regularly scheduled radio weekly test of NOAA Weather Radio all hazards due to severe weather conditions over the area. This test is normally conducted between 11 am and noon each Wednesday. The test is now scheduled to be conducted Saturday between 11 am and noon weather permitting.
