* This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.2 feet on Mar 21 2001.

* from this afternoon until late Thursday night.
* At 11 am Wednesday the stage was 21.9 feet... and
rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage late this afternoon and
continue to rise to near 27.4 feet by after midnight Thursday. The
river will fall below flood stage by Thursday evening.
* At 28.0 feet... moderate flooding begins. Water will enter basements
of lower two city blocks near the gage site. Flood gates on second
Avenue and Avenue a must be closed.

* from late tonight until Friday afternoon.
* At 1015 am Wednesday the stage was 17.8 feet... and
rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage after midnight Thursday and
continue to rise to near 23.1 feet by Thursday early afternoon. The
river will fall below flood stage by late Friday morning.
* At 24.0 feet... mainly minor flooding of low areas will occur.
