The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the Flint River near Montezuma
* from late Friday night until Sunday afternoon.
* At 6 PM EST Wednesday the stage was 7.5 feet... and rising.
* Minor flooding is forecast to begin Friday evening.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Forecast to rise above flood stage late Friday evening and continue
to rise to near 21.1 feet by early Saturday afternoon. The river
is then expected to fall below flood stage Sunday morning.
* At 20.0 feet... flood stage is reached. Access Road to Georges boat
Landing is flooded.

a record rainfall of 4.05 inches was set at Atlanta yesterday. This
breaks the old record of 2.57 set in 1966.

The following are some rainfall totals that occurred 9-11 November
as heavy rains spread northward from the remnants of Tropical Storm
Ida as the storm tracked eastward along the Florida Panhandle and
extreme south Georgia.

The widespread heavy rain caused numerous creeks, streams and
rivers to rise above flood stage... causing minor and moderate
flooding across much of north and central Georgia.
