... Significant weather alert for pea sized hail... 45 mph
winds... heavy rain... and frequent lightning in Bartow... Floyd...
Gordon... Gilmer... Fannin... Walker... Whitfield... Catoosa and Murray
counties until 600 PM EDT...
At 507 PM EDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
strong thunderstorms from 12 miles north of Tennga to 12 miles west
of Mill Creek... moving south at 5 to 10 mph.
These storms have the potential to produce pea sized hail... frequent
cloud to ground lightning and wind gusts to 45 mph as they move
across Bartow... Floyd... Gordon... Gilmer... Fannin... Walker...
Whitfield... Catoosa and Murray counties through 600 PM EDT. Some
locations in the path of these storms include Cohutta Wilderness...
Eton... Crandall... sumac... Cisco... Gregory... Tennga... Mill Creek...
Dalton... Rocky Face... Beaverdale... Varnell and Cohutta. Brief heavy
downpours will cause ponding of water on roadways.
