Through 800 PM EDT...a fairly large area of strong thunderstorms will continue to develop and move east at 20 to 25 mph throughout a good portion of southwest and south central Georgia. The main impacts from these storms will be locally heavy rainfall...wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph...and especially frequent and dangerous cloud to ground lightning. The strongest of these storms will affect early...Calhoun...and Lee counties during the next hour or two before they head eastward. It is possible that some of these storms could strengthen to severe limits later this evening.
