Statement as of 11:59 AM EST on November 11, 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Chattahoochee River near Atlanta Hwy 280 * at 11 am Wednesday the stage was 27.7 feet... and falling slowly. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 24.0 feet. 1144 am EST Wed Nov 11 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Nickajack creek near Mableton * at 1115 am Wednesday the stage was 12.0 feet... and steady. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 10.0 feet. 1136 am EST Wed Nov 11 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the noses creek near Powder Springs * at 1030 am Wednesday the stage was 12.6 feet... and falling slowly. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 11.0 feet. 1132 am EST Wed Nov 11 2009 The Flood Warning continues for the Sweetwater creek near Powder Springs * until further notice. * At 1045 am Wednesday the stage was 15.1 feet... and rising slow. * Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 13.0 feet. 1030 am EST Wed Nov 11 2009 ... Flood Warning extended until Thursday morning... the Flood Warning continues for the Chattahoochee River near Vinings at Paces Ferry * until Thursday morning. * At 945 am Wednesday the stage was 19.0 feet... and steady. * Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * Flood stage is 14.0 feet. * The river is forecast to fall below flood stage Thursday morning. * At 20.0 feet... major flooding begins. Many homes... nearby shops... restaurants... and Lovett school will be flooded. Homes flood along Paces Ferry southeast drive. |
