Through 230 PM...scattered showers will continue to move into Alma... Pearson...Statenville...Homerville...Willacoochee...Douglas...Hazlehurst and Baxley. Showers along the coast will continue to move onshore near Saint Simons Island. Most of the showers will be light with isolated heavier showers possible later today. The showers will move north-northeast at 25 miles an hour.

Cloudy. Showers likely and slight chance of thunderstorms in the morning...then showers likely in the afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. East winds 10 to 15 mph shifting to the north in the afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent.
Wednesday Night
Breezy...cooler. Cloudy with a 40 percent chance of showers. Lows in the lower 50s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.
Thursday
Breezy...cooler. Cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 15 to 20 mph.
The combination of easterly swells and strong onshore flow will create a high rip current risk. Rip currents are life- threatening to anyone entering the surf. Minor beach erosion and coastal flooding are possible during times of high tide. Breakers heights will range from 3 to 5 feet. An occasional breaker set of 6 feet is possible.
