The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has issued a
Freezing Rain Advisory... which is in effect from 10 PM this
evening to 7 am EST Sunday.

* Hazard types... freezing rain and freezing drizzle.

* Accumulations... generally a light glaze and less than a tenth of
an inch.

* Timing... late tonight into Sunday morning

* impacts... ice accumulation on roadways and especially elevated
surface will make for hazardous travel conditions. Also any
residual accumulations of snow on trees will be further stressed
by these light ice accumulations.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Freezing Rain Advisory means that periods of freezing rain or
freezing drizzle will cause travel
difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads. Slow down and use
caution while driving.

Special Statement
Statement as of 3:39 AM EST on February 28, 2015

... Black ice expected through early Saturday morning for far north
Georgia...

Patchy areas of black ice are expected through early this morning
for areas that still have partially melted snow cover from wednesdays
winter storm. The combination of wet surfaces from melted snow and
below freezing temperatures have likely produced areas of black ice
again this morning... mainly north of a Rome to Canton to Cleveland
line.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution on the roadways.
Temperatures are expected be largely above freezing after 10 am
Saturday... and any areas of black ice will be re-melting through the
day.
