Coastal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 6:35 AM EST on November 27, 2015

... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect until 11 am EST this

* location... low lying coastal areas of southeast Georgia...
including Tybee Island.

* Tide levels... at fort Pulaski... high tide will occur around 900
am... peaking between 9.0 and 9.3 feet mean lower low water. In
the Charleston Harbor... high tide will occur around 900
am... peaking between 7.0 and 7.3 feet mean lower low water.
High tide will occur in the Beaufort river at Beaufort around
1000 am.

* Impacts... tides this high will result in only minor nuisance
flooding... with shallow coastal flooding occurring as much as
an hour after the high tide. There could be a few Road
closures... most especially in downtown Charleston. Route 80
between Tybee Island and Wilmington Island will likely remain
open. But check with news sources... social media or local
officials to be certain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for the possibility of Road closures and minor
flooding of properties. If travel is necessary... do not attempt
to drive through water of unknown depth.
