Nowcast | as of 3:46 PM EDT on July 31, 2015

The line of stronger showers and storms that moved through the area late this morning and early this afternoon has pushed off the coast...leaving scattered showers and a few thunderstorms across the region this afternoon. An outflow boundary collision across far southern Osceola and Brevard counties into Indian River County is expected to produce additional storms through late afternoon. While any showers and storms that develop across the region this afternoon will be capable of producing wind gusts to 40 mph as they move quickly off to the northeast...activity that develops with the boundary collision is expected to be a little stronger with the possibility of gusts to 50 mph. Special Statement
Statement as of 4:21 PM EDT on July 31, 2015

... Significant weather advisory for northwestern St. Lucie...
southeastern Brevard... southeastern Osceola... Indian River and
northern Okeechobee counties until 515 PM EDT...

At 419 PM EDT... Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong
thunderstorms from Palm Bay to Kissimmee prairie Reserve... moving
east to northeast at 15 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Palm Bay... Melbourne... Sebastian... Fellsmere and Malabar.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

The primary threats will be cloud to ground lightning and strong wind
gusts... which can cause unsecured objects to blow around... snap tree
limbs... cause power outages or capsize small boats. Heavy rainfall
will temporarily reduce visibility. Seek shelter indoors until the
storm passes.

Boaters should be aware that strong wind gusts sometimes occur well
away from the heavy rain and lightning associated with storms.

Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm... which will reduce
visibility and may lead to temporary flooding of low lying and poor
drainage areas. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
