Areal Flood Watch
Statement as of 4:16 AM EDT on August 31, 2015

... Flood Watch remains in effect through this evening...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Florida and northern Florida... including
the following in northeast ... Florida... Flagler... Putnam and
St. Johns. In northern Florida... Marion.

* Through this evening

* deep tropical moisture over the region may produce additional
rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches with locally higher amounts
possible. The grounds are saturated from recent rains and any
additional heavy rainfall amounts will run off and cause
flooding.

* Heavy rain may create significant flooding of streets... urban
areas... and low lying flood prone areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
