Scattered showers and thunderstorms continued streaming in from the Gulf over areas from downtown Tampa to Saint Petersburg and Bradenton...and over to the east side of Tampa Bay by Brandon and Ruskin. Other strong thunderstorms were over the southeast corner of Highlands County near Brighton. Expect heavy rain...strong gusty winds...and frequent lightning in the strongest storms. The activity was moving east at 20 mph.
