Coastal Flood Statement
Statement as of 3:00 AM EST on November 10, 2009
... Rough surf and minor beach erosion continue at east central
Florida beaches...
Strong and gusty southeast winds over the Atlantic waters will
continue to produce rough and dangerous surf at the beaches today.
Large breaking waves will likely produce additional beach erosion
around the time of the next high tide... which will occur around 2
PM. Minor coastal flooding will also be possible.
Children should not wade into the surf due to the strong breaking
waves expected. The rough surf can make you susceptible to being
caught in a rip current.
