Through 8 PM...weak low pressure near the Florida Panhandle and northeast Gulf will continue to weaken and lift east-northeast this evening and overnight as upper air support races northeast into the Ohio Valley. Currently...a band of showers with isolated lightning will move from Lake County into northwest Orange...western Seminole and Volusia counties through early evening. Embedded isolated storms in this band may contain gusty winds and torrential downpours...especially across Central Lake County. Some of this activity will eventually push offshore from Flagler inlet to just north of the cape. Mariners will need to keep an eye to the west and seek safe Harbor if threatening weather approaches. Elsewhere...only a slight chance of showers will remain possible through mid evening.

... Strong thunderstorms affecting east Central Lake County...
northwestern Orange County... western Seminole County...
At 606 PM EST... National Weather Service meteorologists detected
strong storms over Lake Apopka to Zellwood... moving east at 25 mph.
Locations in the path of the storms include Wekiwa Springs State
Park... Rock Springs and Apopka
The primary threat will be cloud to ground lightning strikes and
gusty winds of 40 to 45 mph... which may cause unsecured objects to
blow around. Heavy rainfall will temporarily reduce visibility. Seek
shelter indoors until the storm passes.
A brief period of small hail... pea to dime size... will also be
possible in localized areas.
