Through 7 PM...thunderstorms will continue across rural northwestern Miami-Dade County into the western suburbs of The Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area...extending northeast off the Palm Beach coast. All of this activity will move towards the east...affecting southeastern Palm Beach County and the rest of The Fort Lauderdale Metro area. Most of the Miami area will remain dry. However...it is possible that storms could develop further to the south...affecting mainly far northern Miami-Dade County. Most storms will produce occasional lightning strikes...gusty winds to around 35 mph...along with very heavy rainfall. However...a few stronger storms are expected to continue. Statements and warnings will be issued on the stronger storms which develop. Mariners should be alert for the possibility of storms moving off the coast over the next hour or so...especially across the near shore waters off the southeastern Palm Beach and Broward County coast.
