The showers and thunderstorms will spread into areas near Sarasota...Wauchula... and Bartow by 5 PM. Expect heavy rain...strong gusty winds...and frequent lightning in the strongest storms. The activity was moving east at 20 mph. The activity extended 60 miles west of Tampa Bay and will continue to move into Manatee and Sarasota counties.
