... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 515 PM
EDT/415 PM CDT/ for southeastern Washington... Calhoun... Northern Bay
and central Jackson counties in the Panhandle of Florida... Seminole
and southwestern Decatur counties in southwestern Georgia...

At 453 PM EDT /353 PM CDT/... Doppler radar indicated a line of severe
thunderstorms capable of producing destructive winds in excess of 70
mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 12 miles
southeast of Cottonwood to 8 miles east of Marianna to near Lynn
Haven... moving east at 60 mph.

In addition... at 337 PM CDT... a 68 mph wind gust was measured at
northwest Florida beaches international Airport.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

These storms have a history of producing wind damage. This is a very
dangerous situation. Seek shelter now inside a sturdy structure and
stay away from windows.

This is an extremely dangerous situation with tornado like wind
speeds expected. Mobile homes and high profile vehicles are
especially susceptible to winds of this magnitude and may be
overturned. For your protection move immediately to a safe shelter or
to an interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business.
These storms have the potential to cause serious injury and
significant property damage.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds... continuous cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Lightning is one of natures leading killers. Remember...
if you can hear thunder... you are close enough to be struck by
lightning.
