The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay area - Ruskin FL has issued a red flag warning... which is in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT Monday. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
The high pressure in the region Monday and even drier air aloft mixing to the surface will produce critically low afternoon rh values in the 20 to 25 percent range for long durations with west northwesterly winds around 15 mph. The dry airmass will remain in place on Tuesday for another day on long durations of critically low humidity vales.
A red flag warning is issued when very favorable conditions for the spread of wildfire are occurring now... or will occur within 24 hours.
Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the field.

On may 9 2008... Tampa international tied the record high minimum temperature of 76 degrees last set in 1998. Then yesterday may 10 2008... Tampa international set a new record high minimum temperature of 77 degrees. The previous record high minimum temperature for may 10 was 76 degrees last set in 2003.
