Widely scattered showers will continue to quickly pass westward across the local Atlantic waters and across the Atlantic coastal zone. The showers are currently affecting the Atlantic waters east of Broward and Palm Beach counties. These showers will move westward near 30 mph and produce brief showers with wind gusts to near 40 mph possible. As the Showers Pass across the coastal zone they will begin to dissipate as they move across the peninsula...although a few showers could make it into the western half of South Florida.

Sustained east winds of around 25 mph with frequent gusts of 35 to 40 mph are expected across the area today. The windiest conditions will occur after sunrise this morning through early this afternoon.
