Nowcast | as of 2:50 PM EDT on July 3, 2015

The East Coast sea breeze was moving inland across the coastal counties at mid afternoon with isolated lightning storms developing along the boundary across northern Brevard and western Martin counties. The East Coast sea breeze will move inland into the interior through the late afternoon hours and help generate additional scattered thunderstorms some of which may become strong. The West Coast sea breeze will also move slowly toward Lake County and may interact with the East Coast sea breeze near Metro Orlando and near or west of the I-4 corridor during the early evening. Stronger storms will be capable of locally heavy rainfall amounts around two inches...frequent lightning and gusty winds to 40 to 50 mph. A moderate risk of rip currents continues at east central Florida beaches this afternoon and evening. Remember to swim near a lifeguard.
