Special Statement
Statement as of 6:49 PM EST on March 01, 2015

... Dense fog moving inland along the Volusia County coast...

Sea fog that developed over the Atlantic this afternoon is now
pushing into the Volusia County coast. Visibilities have dropped to a
half mile or less along the barrier island... with visibilities
currently dropping to 2 to 4 miles along the Mainland east of US 1
and I 95.

Mainland coastal communities should expect visibilities to drop to a
half mile or less over the next hour... including areas immediately
adjacent to I-95.

Fog... especially as it begins to set in... will cause rapid
visibilities changes within a short distance making driving
hazardous. If you're out driving along A1A... US 1... I-95... I-4 or
other local roads... slow down... use your low beam headlights and be
sure to leave plenty of distance between you and the car in front of
you.
