continues for
the Anclote River at Elfers
* until Friday afternoon
* at 10 am Tuesday the stage was 22.0 feet
* flood stage is 20.0 feet
* the river will continue rising to near 22.8 feet by tomorrow
evening. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday
morning.
* Impact... at 23.0 feet... evacuation recommended for residents of
Anclote River estates.
* Impact... at 22.0 feet... there is water over the roadway along the
Elfers Parkway.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 23.9 feet
on Apr 2 2011.

then begin falling.
* Impact... at 8.0 feet... flooding begins at the Recreation Area on
State Road 54.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 8.8 feet
on Sep 30 2013.

... Flood Watch now in effect through Wednesday evening...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* portions of FL and west central Florida... including the
following in FL... coastal Hillsborough... coastal Pasco... inland
Hillsborough and inland Pasco. In west central
Florida... Pinellas.

* Through Wednesday evening

* if possible... clear drainage systems of any debris which may
become clogged in flooding rains.

* Saturated soils and the potential for additional heavy
rainfall through Tuesday evening will continue the threat of
flooding for coastal counties from Hernando southward to Lee.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means that flooding is possible during the next
24 to 36 hours. Residents living in flood prone areas should take
action to protect property.
