Nowcast | as of 5:56 am EST on March 4, 2015

Through 9 am...patchy dense fog will reduce visibilities below one half mile at times mainly over interior sections from Lake County... across Orlando Metro down to Lake Okeechobee. Patchy fog will also be possible near the coast but the reduction in visibility should not be as significant. The fog will dissipate by 9 am followed by much above normal temperatures this afternoon. Near record highs in the upper 80s are forecast for Orlando Metro this afternoon as well as other interior locations...with mid 80s elsewhere. This is 10 to 14 degrees above normal for this time of year. No rain is expected. The primary hazard today will be a low to moderate risk of strong rip currents at the beaches caused by a small but long period east swell. Always swim within sight of a lifeguard.
