The Flood Warning continues for
the Apalachicola River near Blountstown.
* Until late Sunday night.
* At 7:15 PM Saturday the stage was 16.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast: the river is cresting and will begin to fall overnight.
The river will fall below flood stage by Sunday night.
* Impact: at 15.0 feet: minor lowland flooding begins. This level is
the top of the bank at the Marina.

... February was colder and drier than normal for Tallahassee...

The average monthly temperature for February recorded at the
Tallahassee Regional Airport was 51.3 degrees, or 3.4 degrees below
normal. The highest temperature recorded during the month was 76
degrees on the 22nd. The lowest temperature was 22 degrees on the
20th which established a new record low for the day. There were six
days with minimum temperatures at or below freezing, two below
normal.

Rainfall at the Tallahassee Regional Airport for February measured
4.43 inches, or 0.42 inches below normal. The greatest amount in a
24-hour period was 1.89 inches on the 25th. There were eight days
with measurable rainfall, one below normal. There were two days with
thunder at the Airport, which was normal. The peak gust recorded at
the Airport was 46 mph from the west on the 25th.

The outlook for March from the climate prediction center calls
for equal chances of experiencing above, near normal or below normal
temperatures and an enhanced chance for above normal rainfall. The
average monthly temperature for March is 60.4 degrees with normal
rainfall of 5.94 inches.
