Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:18 PM EDT on August 04, 2015

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
southwestern Sussex County in southern Delaware...

* until 315 am EDT

* at 1117 PM EDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area. Up to one to two inches of rain has already fallen with an
additional inch or more possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Millsboro... Laurel... Delmar... Gumboro... Sycamore and Bethel.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... don't drown.
