Flash Flood Watch
Statement as of 3:15 PM EDT on June 01, 2015

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northern Connecticut and northern Rhode Island.

* Through Tuesday evening

* showers with heavy rainfall are expected through late Tuesday
with rainfall totals of 1.50 to 2.50 inches.

* Rapid and significant flooding of urban areas is possible. Small
streams may rise out of their banks and flood low lying areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch is issued for the potential of rapid and
significant flooding. Stay alert for flash flood warnings... which
are issued when flooding is imminent.

Should flooding occur... do not drive through flooded roads... even
if the water appears to be shallow. Find an alternate Route. Cars
can easily become stranded. Move to higher ground if you live or
work in a flood prone area.
