Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 9:01 PM MDT on July 10, 2009
The National Weather Service in Denver has issued an
* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southeastern Boulder County in northeast Colorado
Broomfield County in northeast Colorado
including Broomfield... Lafayette... Louisville and Superior.
* Until 1030 PM MDT
* at 900 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated
heavy rain from a storm over western Broomfield... or 16 miles
northwest of Denver. This storm was moving northeast at 10 mph.
Doppler radar estimates that around 1 inches of rain has fallen from
this storm in the last 45 minutes.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Excessive runoff from this storm will cause minor flooding of small
creeks and streams... urban areas... highways... streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
