Winter Storm Watch
Statement as of 12:52 PM MST on November 12, 2009
... Winter Storm Watch in effect from Saturday morning through
Sunday evening...
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a
Winter Storm Watch... which is in effect from Saturday morning
through Sunday evening.
The first in a series of winter storms will bring a mix of
precipitation and light snowfall accumulations to The Four Corners
valley locations Friday. After a break... the snow will begin again
Saturday afternoon and increase late Saturday into Sunday. The
snow will continue through late Sunday. Expect total snow from
this event to range from 4 to 8 inches.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations and... or blowing snow that may impact travel.
Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
