storms with very heavy rain... thunderstorms will move northeast across the eastern portions of the Denver Metro area and Palmer Divide late this evening. The strongest storms will be capable of producing very heavy rainfall with up to 1 inch in 15 minutes...hail...and strong gusty winds around 50 mph. Nearly continuous lightning can also be expected as the storms move through. Heavy rain will produce some flooding of low lying areas and intersections. The storms will spread northeastward into southern Weld and across the rural portions of eastern Adams and Arapahoe counties...while coming to an end in the Denver Metro area by 1030 PM.
