Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 4:05 AM MDT on October 11, 2008
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from noon today to
midnight MDT tonight...
A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow remains in
effect from noon today to midnight MDT tonight.
Snow will develop late this morning... increasing during the
afternoon and is expected to bring 4 to 8 inches of new snow with
locally higher amounts by late this evening. In addition... strong
south winds ranging from 20 to 35 mph with occasional gusts to 60
mph will generate widespread blowing and drifting snow. The
heaviest snow accumulations will be confined to elevations above
10000 feet.
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.
